Need a Technician license for the job? The purpose of this self-study program is to prepare emergency services personnel such as EMT, SAR, CERT, and Fire Fighters to pass the Technician license exam. The program is “memory based” and does NOT provide any explanation of theory, etc.
The Technician license exam is comprised of 35 questions selected from a pool of 394 questions contained in ten subelements (T0-T9). Subelements are divided into 35 groups (topics). One exam question is randomly selected from each topic to make up the license exam. You must correctly answer a minimum of 26 questions on the 35-question exam to obtain a Technician license.
SELF-STUDY PROGRAM
1. This self-study program follows the NCVEC syllabus for the Technician license exam. Table-1 shows the topics within subelement and the number of exam questions taken from each subelement.

2. Start with topic T0A. Study the flashcards at the link below until you are ready to test yourself then proceed to step 3.
TIP: Study the flashcards with only the correct answer displayed. Then study the flashcards with all answer choices displayed and hover over your choice to see if it is the correct answer.
3. Test yourself on a topic using the link below, until you are consistently scoring 85 or higher on every test. Repeat steps 2-3 until you complete every topic in a subelement then proceed to step 4.
TIP: If questions are incorrectly answered, a link will be provided at the bottom of the results summary to test yourself on the incorrectly answered questions. Repeat testing until you correctly answer all the questions.
4. Test yourself on an entire subelement using the link below until you are consistently scoring 85 or higher on every test. Repeat steps 2-4 until you complete all ten subelements (T0-T9) then proceed to step 5.

5. Test yourself with sample license exams using the link below until you are scoring 85 or higher on every exam.When you are scoring 85 or higher on every sample exam, you are ready to take the Technician license exam.
